Leadership Clayton is a leadership development program sponsored by the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce since 1972. Each year Leadership Clayton engages emerging and existing leaders in a nine-month program that broadens their knowledge of the issues, sharpens their leadership skills and challenges themselves and others to seek solutions to the issues affecting our communities.
The purpose of the Civic Engagement Session is to expose the Leadership Clayton class to the roles and responsibilities of government and public sector leaders at the city, county, and state levels. The class will hear how each level of government, and their respective roles, relate to citizens of the county and region, as well as how can we as citizen leaders affect government actions—either in support or modification.
Sessions are exclusive to Leadership Clayton class participants and presenters.
