    Atlanta, GA – July 17th, 2025 — Atlanta Orthopaedic Institute is honored to announce the addition of Bruce H. Ziran, MD, FACS, FAAOS to its growing team of world-class orthopaedic specialists.

    Dr. Ziran, an     internationally recognized orthopaedic trauma surgeon, brings over 30 years of expertise in the diagnosis and surgical management of complex musculoskeletal injuries and deformities.

    Dr. Ziran joins AOI as a leader in advanced trauma care, known for his depth of knowledge in fracture management, limb reconstruction, and orthopaedic infection. His distinguished background includes clinical leadership at major Level I trauma centers, over 90 published peer-reviewed studies, and extensive involvement in academic training and surgical innovation.

    Dr. Ziran earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed advanced fellowship training at the University of California, Davis, AO International in Switzerland, and the Ilizarov Institute in Russia, establishing his global reputation in orthopaedic trauma and reconstruction.
    He has held key roles such as:
    • Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at multiple Level I centers
    • Examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) since 2009
    • Founder of the Atlanta Orthopaedic Symposium (2011–2022)
    • Clinical Mentor at Georgia Tech’s Master of Biomedical Innovation Program
    • Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Advanced Trauma Solutions, a company developing next-generation external fixation and trauma implant technologies
