Fitting & Pattern Making Class

Make sewing patterns work for you.  This 10-week hands-on class will allow students to develop master patterns. Prerequisites are required for this course. COURSE OBJECTIVES Students will learn a new and unique concept for using commercial sewing patterns.  These techniques will ensure that the patterns fit you.   Students will learn to develop Master Patterns and complete several garments in class using these Master Patterns.   Students will learn to develop skills and confidently fit commercial patterns to obtain a great fit every time.   Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: Make a well fitting blouse, shirt and jacket using their own personally fitted master pattern. Students will know how to use their master patterns to adjust commercial patterns or add details to their master pattern to create their own designs. Cost: $249 plus student insurance fee and supplies Prerequisites: Intermediate to advanced sewing skills and to have prepared a sloper muslin to bring to the first class using Fashion Patterns blouse sloper pattern 1201. Orientation will be held the first day of class to discuss required tools.
